Our Team
Lee Klas, BBA, ICF, IICRC
Principal
Lee started in the construction industry in 2015 following his post-secondary in San Diego California where he studied business and played on the golf team. So far in his time in the construction industry he has completed the BC Real Estate course and obtained certifications in ICF foundations and IICRC restoration.
Lee started in construction doing concrete foundations. He then ran a finishing and painting company before diving in to building houses from start to finish. Lee has built over a dozen single family houses start to finish, has done many TIs, major renovations. His strengths are building relationships and organizing the subtrades. Lee is very loyal to his subtrade base.

Brad Nestor, NCSO, JC, Red Seal, GCS
Director of Construction and Pre-Construction
Brad Nestor is the primary in house consultant for Black Diamond Construction. He started in commercial construction part time in 1993 as a summer job and moved to full time commercial construction in 1996 and am still happy to be in the industry. He has worked on several different types of projects from smaller metal buildings, warehouses, arenas, institutional facilities such as housing, multi-Family, airports, hospitals, schools, prisons. These projects varying in size and price from $100,000.00 to $750,000,000.00.
To date he has completed over $1,500,000,000.00 in projects throughout Canada.
He worked his way up with one of the bigger construction companies in western Canada (Stuart Olson Construction) From an apprentice carpenter to one of 4 Senior Superintendents in Northern Alberta over the 12 years he was with them. All these experiences have assisted me in honing a high degree of construction knowledge which is imparted into each project Black Diamond Construction completes today. Brad provides milestone inspections for Black Diamond Construction.
Chris Palmer
Red Seal - Project Manager
Chris Palmer has a 32 year framing background. His experience ranges from single family to large scale multi family. He is a great asset to the team with his framing knowledge. Chris deals directly with the subtrades and owners.
Shawn Brown
Red Seal – Site Superintendent
Shawn has been framing for 25 years and has had a framing company for 15 of those years. Shawn has great people skills and knows how to remain calm in even the toughest of situations. He is also known to sneak out onto the links after a long day at the job site.
